UNDERGADUATE ENGINEER
Resume
Experience
2023 - Present
UNDERGRAD RESEARCHER
ZaP Plasma Physics Laboratory
WA NASA Space Grant Consortium
Currently leading development of a 1,500 degree Celsius heat source for calibrating dual-wavelength pyrometers for use in thermal characterization inside electric thrusters and concept fusion thrusters. Additionally, assisting in operating high vacuum experiments with experience with liquid nitrogen and high voltage
2022 - Present
LEAD SOLID ROCKET ENGINEER
Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP)
UW - Seattle
Currently leading 30+ undergraduate engineers in the design, and development of a Mach 1 rocket to be entered into the Spaceport America Cup in summer of 2024. Relied heavily on aerodynamic simulations run through Ansys Fluent, and Rasaero II, as well as design and analysis through SolidWorks, Ansys, and real world part testing. Emphasis on efficient systems engineering.
2022 - 2023
SOLAR ARRAYS AND DEPLOYABLES ENGINEER
Husky Satellite Lab (HuskySat)
UW - Seattle
Developed burn-wire based systems integrated into solar array PCBs for deploying CubeSat solar arrays, and designed mechanical systems for solar tracking. Designed to fly on the HuskySat 2 mission in 2025, and used as a testbed for future cislunar missions from UW.
